National Park Sign 2023

This sign is my take on the iconic US National Park Services sign that you will see at any of the National Parks in the United States.
The paint is top coated with photo-luminescent acrylic paint in some areas, so it glows in the dark!

The iconic US National Park Service sign that my sign is modeled after.

This custom-designed and 3D carved sign is 17.2" wide x 22.5" tall and 1.5" thick. I used premium exterior acrylic paint, and a French cleat for easy and secure hanging.

Similar to my House Number Sign, this sign is constructed of High Density Urethane, which is the optimal choice for a sign that will have a lifetime of service outdoors.

I top coated the paint with photo-luminescent paint so the sign will glow in the dark. Unfortunately, this does not have the desired affect in an outdoor application. I learned that because daylight fades so gradually, by the time it is dark enough to see the glow, the glow has faded to levels that are not very noticeable. So that's a bummer, but the sign is still super cool!
