Heirloom Quality

Flames of Sovereignty is a large piece crafted with high quality materials in tribute to hope and freedom. While I am tempted to HODL the piece as tightly as Bitcoin, I have decided to offer it for sale as my contribution to the ascendance of Bitcoin.

Materials used include premium solid kiln-dried Cherry, 99.9% pure 24 carat triple gold leaf, semi-precious stones and minerals, casting resin, finishing oil and wax.

The Coin and the Flames are each carved out of a single 1.5" (3.8 cm) thick premium solid Cherry panel (finished thickness is 1.4"). Absolutely no plywood or fiber board was used, and all of the individual letters, shapes and pockets are carved directly into the solid Cherry panel.

The piece is designed with a 1/2" (1.3 cm) gap between the Coin and the Flames. My work started with preparing the two solid Cherry panels, one for the Coin and one for the Flames. After carving the shapes and textures, and finely preparing all surfaces, my attention turned to the gold leafing and stone inlay.

All letters and the Bitcoin outline are gilded with 99.9% pure, 24 carat triple gold leaf.

The black stone inlay in the Bitcoin and surrounding letters is Black Schorl Tourmaline from Brazil, inlaid with UV inhibited casting resin. The flames are inlaid using fine, semi-precious tumbled stone set in UV inhibited casting resin, including:

• Chalcedony

• Garnet

• Carnelian

The piece is finished with high quality, hand-rubbed oil and wax. I applied 3 coats of oil on all edge grain and countless coats of oil on the end grain. I then hand-rubbed two applications of high quality wax to all wood surfaces.

Cherry wood will darken substantially as the wood ages. You can expect the wood surfaces to become a deeper, darker color as the piece ages.

Hanging hardware is included and is pre-installed on the back of the pieces. Patience and care will be needed to hang the Coin and the Flames with the appropriate spacing between the pieces. Detailed hanging instructions will be included.

Flames of Sovereignty is a truly exceptional piece. It will be difficult to see this one go. I hope you enjoy it!

Finished Weights and Dimensions

Flames of Sovereignty will dominate your space.

The piece is 1.4" (3.6 cm) thick premium solid Cherry with the following dimensions and weights:

• Coin is 32.8" (83.3 cm) in diameter and weighs 23 pounds (10.4 kg)

• Flames are 35.6" (90.5 cm) wide, 28.1" (71.3 cm) tall and weigh 11.7 pounds (5.3 kg)

• As pictured, the piece hangs 39.4" (100.2 cm) wide and 48.3" (122.6 cm) tall.
