Secrets of Coal Creek

Beneath the starry sky, a story as old as time itself. Coal Creek comes alive and the chase is on. How does it end? These secret adventures are left for us to imagine.

This is the first in a series I am envisioning to capture the timeless dramas of the animal world.

The piece pictured here has a carved Bubinga frame, a carved Cherry insert and Black Tourmaline inlay. The shooting star is gilded with 24K triple Gold leaf. The rabbit is gilded with 22K Gold leaf that contains 9% Silver and Palladium for color. The fox is gilded with 23K Gold leaf that contains 2% Copper for color.

I made two of this piece, the one shown here and another with a Walnut frame (shown below). One was made for my sister and the other for a local charity auction.

The piece measures 20 1/8" wide, 8 1/8" tall and 1" thick.
