Always by My Side

Made of American Walnut and Cherry hardwoods, these nightstands measure 25.5" tall, 18" deep and 23" wide. I find beauty in the simplicity of this design, and especially like the leg profiles.

The drawer pulls are hand forged by a blacksmith and are the perfect finishing touch.

Although I have used traditional dovetail drawer construction in my prior work, I've never been fond of dovetails. I decided to try something new with the drawer on this nightstand, shown in the pictures below. This is just as strong as dovetails, WAY easier and much more attractive.

I have worked with Walnut extensively, and something about the color of the Walnut on these drawer fronts is extra special.
