For the Kind of Girl a Dad Could Love Forever

I made this large, custom-designed and carved mirror for my 9 year-old daughter. Carved of premium American Walnut, the frame measures 31" wide, 43" tall and 1.32" thick. It's a nice, large size, hanged at the perfect height to be used as a full-body mirror.

When designing the mirror, I aspired for a classic look that she would want on her wall as much when she's 80 as she does when she's 9.

The Celtic knot at the top of the frame symbolizes the father/daughter bond. The lower section of the frame has carved pockets that are inlaid with Mother of Pearl in casting resin.

I could not be happier with how this turned out. I especially enjoy the asymmetrical shape of the design.

My daughter loves it.

By the way, it’s really hard to get good photos of large mirrors :-/
